Fungi cause various diseases in humans like Chromoblastomycosis, Eye Infections, Lobomycosis, Mycetoma, Nail, Hair, and Skin disease etc. Algae based anti fungal compounds are used to treat infections in various parts of the body that are caused by a fungus.

Hash BioTech is working on identifying and exploiting such properties of algae to produce various potent bioactive antifungal compounds, from various algae. Such compounds from algae seem to have more potential than conventional anti fungal agents, conventionally used against fungal diseases in humans. Comprehensive efforts are being made to develop, characterize and test such potential anti fungal compounds originated from micro algae.
